I made a mistake by asking myself a question.
Who is the beloved, the god, the reader, the You?
What is this prelude
Unimaginable choral arraignment
Held hostage by the orchestra in my ears
My mind?
What is to say that it isn’t in my mind?
The boy attempting to drown out the noise to have Silence.
The old man realizing the noise is there only for himself.
Parterre or maybe mezzanine to himself.
The beloved and author of words of worship.
The god and helper to the despaired believer.
The reader, the You, the all of them, and the one.
I made a mistake by asking myself a question.
So I read everything that is shared.
Is it a coincidence that it is the same as before?
That in reading the words, I see myself?
That they are better than a mirror could ever be?
On May 25th
I watched the moon
A bottle of wine
Desperation?
For mittened hands and red tinged lips were all I knew.
I made a mistake by looking in the journal You have kept.
Sadness or Sad. No. Sadly before the name.
I made a mistake and thought of the name.
When she looked at me and I still thought the name.
When she loved me and I still thought the name.
When she hated me and I still thought the name.
I punched a wall
And even then I still thought the name.
I didn’t ask myself a question.
I had nothing to ask myself.
I simply thought Sadly.
